This week we are repairing a leak on a single
story home with an architectural composition shingle roof. Upon inspection, over the leaking area there are
mounts that support a aluminum awning cover. The mounts are not flashed
correctly but have been sealed with roof tar. The fix for this
problem is to install diverter... flashing uphill of each of the eleven awning
mounts so that water will go around the mounts.
